Casper Ghosts News Release
Casper, WY - The Casper Rockies are on pace for a setting a new single season attendance record. After 27 home games, Rockies season attendance is up almost 20% over the 2005 season.
With record crowds through the first four home stands, the Rockies are expected to break their attendance record which was previously set at 53,000 in 2004. The single game attendance record was set earlier this season on July 4th with 3,149 fans in attendance and look to break that record again this season on Friday, August 18th.
"Being in a smaller market, the crowds in Casper have been tremendous," said Casper Rockies General Manager Danny Tetzlaff. "We hope to maintain this momentum as we finish the 2006 campaign."
Two home stands remain for fans to come out and cheer for the Rockies as they aim for the 2006 Pioneer League Play-offs. Many great events are slated for the final 12 home games including the 2006 Team Card Set Giveaway, two fireworks nights, PJ Night, 2 Thirsty Thursday's and Fan Appreciation Night on September 4th.
