Rockets Taken in NHL Draft

Kelowna Rockets players Colton Sissons and Damon Severson were both selected in the second round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft Saturday in Pittsburgh.

Sissons was chosen 50th overall by the Nashville Predators while Severson was selected 10 spots later at the 60th spot by the New Jersey Devils.

Sissons, a 6-foot-1 forward and the Rockets captain, had 41 points in 58 games last season with the Rockets.

Severson, a 6-foot-2 defenceman, had 37 points in 56 games last season.

The NHL Entry Draft is continuing throughout the day.

Both players will return to the Rockets for the 2012-13 Western Hockey League season.
