Regina Pats News Release

Regina, Saskatchewan - Regina Pats forward, Chandler Stephenson has been selected 16th in the third round (77th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals.

Stephenson was the Pats' fifth overall selection in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft. He completed his second season in Regina in 2011-12, putting up 20 goals and 22 assists in only 55 games. He was also strong in the post season, totaling four points in five games.

Regina Pats General Manager, Chad Lang, on Stephenson's selection, "I think it's a testament to his hard work. Chandler came in this year and elevated his game. He suffered an injury, but did the necessary things to come back from that injury and be a big part of our hockey club."

The 2012 NHL Entry Draft continues this morning in Pittsburgh.

Pats 2012/13 Season Tickets are now on sale. For more information contact the Pats office at 522-5604 or go to www.reginapats.com.
