
Rockets Stop Giants in OT 3-2

Colin Long scored at 3:19 into overtime as the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Vancouver Giants 3-2 in Kelowna on Friday night.
Tyson Barrie and Jamie Benn also scored for Kelowna while Evander Kane and Casey Pierro-Zabotel responded for Vancouver. The Giants received great goaltending from Tyson Sexsmith, who made 24 shots in taking the loss.
The Giants are now 47-5-1-3 on the season. Vancouver is back home to take on the Chilliwack Bruins on Saturday night. You can catch all the WHITE SPOT GIANTS HOCKEY action on AM 650. The pre-game show will begin at 6:30 pm and the puck will drop at 7 pm from the Pacific Coliseum as Dave Sheldon and Bill Wilms will have the call of all the action.
