
Rockers Win Fourth Straight Game Versus Dock Spiders

Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Rockers won their fourth straight game Thursday night, taking down the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 6-4 at Capital Credit Union Park in what was a come-from-behind victory for Green Bay.
The Rockers now improve to 13-7 on the season in second half play while the Dock Spiders drop to 10-12 through 22 games played in the second half.
After neither team scored in the first two innings, the Dock Spiders took a 3-0 lead in the top of the third with two runs coming off a two-run home run with the third run coming off a triple and an error by Green Bay. The Dock Spiders led 3-0 after the first three innings of play.
In the top of the fourth, Fond du Lac extended their lead on an RBI groundout, making it 4-0 Dock Spiders through the first four innings.
Green Bay responded in the bottom of the fifth, scoring three runs in the frame courtesy of an RBI single from Tristin Garcia, an RBI walk from Keniel De Leon, and an RBI groundout from Luke Ballweg as that made it a 4-3 game going into the sixth.
The Rockers tied the game in the bottom of the seventh courtesy of another RBI grounder from Ballweg, evening up the score at 4-4 heading into the eighth.
In the bottom of the eighth, Green Bay started off the frame with a walk from Matt Scannell, and then a wild pitch eventually scored Scannell from second, giving the Rockers the 5-4 lead.
An RBI single from Danny Wuestenfeld extended the Green Bay lead by two runs, as the Rockers took a 6-4 going into the ninth.
Despite a one-out walk, Marcus Jaworski capped off his shutout performance out of the bullpen as a 4-6-3 double play turned by the Rockers secured the home victory for Green Bay, giving them their fourth straight win.
Jaworski finished the night with five innings pitched while giving up no runs on just two hits and striking out two batters as well.
The Rockers will take on the Dock Spiders for the second time in as many days Friday to finish out the two-game series. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. from Capital Credit Union Park.
The pregame concert performed by Fire on High Unplugged will begin at 5:35 p.m. with their also being postgame fireworks presented by Pepsi following the conclusion of the game.
