Ashwaubenon, Wis. - The Green Bay Rockers will look to punch their ticket to the Great Lakes Championship Game Monday night at Capital Credit Union Park, as they take on the Madison Mallards with the hopes of earning the two-game sweep in the sub-divisional round of the 2023 Northwoods League Postseason.

The pregame concert performed by Conscious Pilot will begin at 5:30 p.m. with their also being a rally towel giveaway for the first 1,000 fans in attendance for this playoff game.

The Rockers enter game two of the potential three-game series fresh off an 8-4 win in game one Sunday afternoon, after scoring eight unanswered runs en route to a convincing playoff victory against Madison at Warner Park.

In Sunday's game one victory, Green Bay was led by Kendal Ewell's (Illinois-Chicago) 4-4 performance, including recording two RBIs and a double to lead the way offensively for the Rockers, who finished with 11 hits as a team.

Sam Polk (Washington-University St Louis) had two RBIs on the day himself after recording a two-RBI base hit in the sixth to put Green Bay ahead late in the contest, while Nainoa Cardinez (Hawaii), and JoJo Jackson (Georgia St) each had RBIs themselves to round out Green Bay's eight run outing Sunday afternoon.

Brett Sanchez (Belhaven) earned the win on the mound after giving up just two runs on four hits in 6.1 innings pitched, while recording three strikeouts to keep Madison off the board for most of the contest throughout.

As for the pitching matchup for game two, Green Bay will start Maddox Long (Harding University) who has a 1.76 ERA in 10 starts this season, while recording 27 strikeouts in 30.2 innings pitched this summer.

In his latest outing, Long threw seven shutout innings against the Lakeshore Chinooks back on August 4, finishing with 10 strikeouts and allowed just one hit in all at Kapco Park to earn the win.

Madison will start fellow Harding product Davis Welch, who in 10 innings pitched has six strikeouts and a 6.30 ERA, after starting in two games so far this summer with three appearances made in all.

A Madison win would result in a game three Tuesday night at 6:35 p.m. at Capital Credit Union Park, or a win for Green Bay would send them to the Great Lakes Championship Game which would take place either Tuesday or Wednesday. First pitch of the Great Lakes Championship Game is to be determined.
