New Britain Rock Cats News Release
New Britain, CT - Tonight's New Britain Rock Cats 2007 Season Home Opening Game scheduled for 6:05 PM, has been postponed due to wet weather. There is no make-up date yet determined.
The Rock Cats will now officially open their home portion of the new season at New Britain Stadium tomorrow (4/13) morning at 10:35 AM. The opponent will again be the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Eastern League affiliate of the American League's Toronto Blue Jays. The Rock Cats partner with the AL's Minnesota Twins.
The New Hampshire team, managed by Manchester native Bill Masse, will remain in New Britain for the next three days as there are - in addition to Friday morning's contest - afternoon games scheduled for 1:35 PM on both Saturday (4/14) and Sunday (4/15). While Friday morning's game is SOLD OUT, many good seats remain available for the final two weekend games.
