Rochester Red Wings News Release

ROCHESTER, NY - The Rochester Red Wings today placed outfielder Brian Dinkelman on the 7-Day Disabled List with a sprained right hand. A corresponding roster move will be made prior to tomorrow's game at the Empire State Yankees at Frontier Field.

Dinkelman sustained the injury during Wednesday's game vs. Pawtucket (Red Sox) and exited prior to his at-bat in the fourth inning. The night before vs. Buffalo (Mets), he hit a three-run homer with two outs in the sixth to erase a 3-2 deficit and give the Red Wings a 5-3 victory. He is hitting .174 with one homer and a team-leading six RBI in seven games.

The 28-year-old Dinkelman, who was selected by the Twins in the eighth round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft, is in his third season with the Red Wings.
