Roanoke Dazzle News Release
GREENVILLE, S.C., February 23 â The Roanoke Dazzle has acquired guard Garry Hill-Thomas from the available player pool of the NBA's National Basketball Development League, according to an announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Dazzle head coach Kent Davison.
Hill-Thomas fills the roster spot vacated by Matt Carroll, who signed with the Charlotte Bobcats today as the seventh NBDL-to-NBA GATORADE Call-Up this season. He will not play tonight when the Dazzle is host to Columbus, but is expected to be in uniform when Roanoke visits Huntsville on Friday. He will wear jersey #23.
A 6-4, 200-pound rookie guard from Nevada ('04), Hill-Thomas played in 34 games (33 starts) as a senior for the Wolf Pack last season. Named to the Western Athletic Conference All-Defensive Team last season, he averaged 28.2 minutes, 9.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
