Phoenix RoadRunners News Release
PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, an affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes and the San Antonio Rampage, have announced several revisions to their 2007-08 schedule. The changes were necessary following the release of the 2007-08 NBA schedule earlier today and due to building conflicts at opposing venues.
The RoadRunners will now begin the year with a season-long 12-game homestand following the addition of a home date at 7:11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 against the Las Vegas Wranglers. This game was originally scheduled for March 12. Phoenix has also moved three other dates with the Wranglers. The home game scheduled for Feb. 8 will now be played at 7:11 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7. In addition, the home game scheduled for March 22 will now be played at 7:11 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, a date that was originally scheduled as a road game at Las Vegas. This game will now be played at 7:05 p.m. on Sunday, March 23 at the Orleans Arena.
Phoenix has also moved three separate home dates with Idaho, Alaska, and Victoria. The game originally scheduled on Feb. 3 against Idaho has been changed to 7:11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2. The home date scheduled for March 1 against Alaska has been moved to Sunday, March 2, and will begin at a special 1:00 p.m. start time. Finally, the originally scheduled game on March 15 against Victoria will now be played at 7:11 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18.
The RoadRunners have also changed one additional road date moving their scheduled Dec. 21 contest at Fresno to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at the Save Mart Center.
For a third consecutive year, the RoadRunners will commence their season with a three-game weekend series against West Division rival Utah with the season and home opener scheduled for 7:11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 at US Airways Center.
