
RoadRunners Name Stanhibel Athletic Trainer

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, are pleased to name Scott Stanhibel as their head athletic trainer.
Stanhibel joins the RoadRunners from Physiotherapy Associates where he spent the past three years working in sports rehabilitation with athletes from Major League Baseball, the National Football League, and the National Basketball Association. He also spent time assisting the RoadRunners and the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League.
Stanhibel previously served as an athletic trainer at Campbell University for the school's varsity basketball and baseball teams. He received his Bachelor Degree in Athletic Training from New Mexico State University in 2002, and his Masters Degree in Education from North Carolina State University in 2004.
Stanhibel replaces Brad Chavis who accepted a similar position with the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Phoenix will play a two-game pre-season series against the Florida Everblades Oct. 10-11 at Germain Arena in Estero, Fla.
The RoadRunners open their fourth ECHL season Oct. 17 when they welcome the Victoria Salmon Kings to US Airways Center for a three-game Opening Weekend series.
