Phoenix RoadRunners News Release
PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL are pleased to introduce Cricket Communications as the club's newest sponsor for the upcoming 2005-06 season.
"Cricket is among the leaders in wireless communication service in the Valley and we're excited to add another prominent brand to our growing list of partners," said RoadRunners COO Ray Delia.
Cricket Communications will present various in-game promotions at all RoadRunners home games including "Text to Win" trivia questions and the "Show Us Your Cricket, We'll Upgrade Your Ticket" promotion. This promotion will give Cricket customers in attendance the opportunity to receive seats behind the glass just for showing their Cricket wireless phone. Cricket will also sponsor the "Play That Pays" by making a donation to a RoadRunners charity after every fourth "Play That Pays", and giving all fans the chance to receive a hands-free wireless set for free.
RoadRunners President Claude Lemieux will serve as a spokesman for Cricket text messaging.
"We saw a natural partnership between Cricket and the RoadRunners because of a list of similarities," said Dennis Maguire, Area General Manager for Cricket, Phoenix. "Both organizations are committed to a quality product that delivers value to customers in our community. The big difference is that the RoadRunners will impress the crowd with their unlimited talents on the ice while we at Cricket stick to unlimited plans in wireless."
Cricket is a simple and affordable mobile phone service offering customers and local businesses flat-rate, unlimited service over a high-quality, all-digital wireless network. Designed for customers under-served by traditional communications companies, Cricket is the pioneer of unlimited anytime minutes with no long-term contract or credit check required.
