
Road Warriors down Fish in game two

The Bluefish came out looking to take their second straight win from the Road Warriors, but after the 5-4 loss the series would have to be decided in the Sunday Finale. T.J. Mathews had the start for the Bluefish giving up five runs on 11 hits, while striking out five, through seven innings of work.
Sheldon Fulse lead off the game for the Road Warriors with a single and came around to score on a Mike Huggins single. Huggins then came in when Manny Mejia recorded a single.
Mejia doubled to lead off the fourth inning and came around to score on a double off the bat off Jason Bryan, giving the Road Warriors a 3-0 lead.
Steve Hine recorded a single to lead off the bottom of the fourth inning for the Bluefish. Later, Jamie Pogue recorded a two out single to put two men on for Nelson who ripped a single down the right field line that scored Hine and put Pogue on third. Deivi Cruz followed with a single to left field that scored Pogue.
Huggins would reach base in the fifth and then score on a Mejia single. It would be Mejia's third hit and second RBI of the night.
Huggins increased the Road Warriors lead to 5-2 when he hit a solo shot off the left field foul pole in the top of the seventh.
The Bluefish got two back in the bottom of the ninth when Hine ripped a gapper to right field that scored Otanez and Hutchins logged RBI single (5-4), but it would not be enough for the Fish who left 14 runners on base, a season high.
