Riversharks Sweep Doubleheader

Camden Riversharks News Release
The Riversharks got back into the Liberty Division race as they swept their doubleheader against the Long Island Ducks. With the two victories, Camden is now just four games back of the Ducks for first place.
In Game 1, the Riversharks tied their season-high for runs in an inning with seven in the bottom of the 2nd and that was enough as they defeated the Ducks 8-5.
Long Island hit three straight two-out, RBI singles in the 1st inning off Wilkin De la Rosa to give Long Island a 3-0 advantage.
Camden responded with seven runs in the bottom of the 2nd against Joselo Diaz as the first seven batters of the inning reached base.
Jonel Pacheco scored twice and launched a solo home run, his 4th of the season in the 3rd inning.
In Game 2, Humberto Sanchez pitched effectively into the 6th inning as Camden jumped out to an early lead and won 6-2.
Sanchez (1-0) allowed two runs in 5.1 innings in his first start for the Riversharks.
Camden scored the first runs of the game in the 2nd inning courtesy of a two-run error by shortstop Dan Lyons that made it 2-0 Riversharks.
The Riversharks added three more runs in the 4th inning as five straight batters reached highlighted by an RBI triple by Ruddy Yan to extend the lead to 5-0.
