Riversharks Announce Regular Season Roster

CAMDEN, N.J. -- The Riversharks have finalized their roster for the regular season, the team announced today.

The Riversharks have sixteen pitchers on their roster, nine right-handed pitchers and seven left-handers. The right-handed staff includes Pennsauken, NJ native Alex Polanco, Dan Blewett, Matt Gorgen, Michael Click, Sean Gleason, Wes Torrez, Zach Clark, Rob Bryson, and T.J. Hose, who will begin the season on the disabled list. The left-handed pitchers on the roster are Danny Herrera, Eric Kline, Fu-Te Ni, Ryan Kulik, Steve Garrison, Zach Braddock, and Bill Murphy.

The team will carry six infielders on their staff: versatile infielders Dan Hennigan, Brandon Chaves, Paddy Matera, and Ryan Strieby, designated hitter and first baseman Joel Guzman, and third baseman Mike Costanzo.

The outfield will be manned by Carlos Guzman, Jeremy Barfield, Michael Rockett, and Stephen Bull, as well as centerfielder Alex Hudak, who will begin the year on the inactive list.

The Riversharks will keep two catchers on their roster, Jose Gil and Eddie Sorondo.

Chris Widger will take the helm in his first season as Riversharks manager, while Pedro Swann, hitting and bench coach, and Zach Clark, player and pitching coach, round out the coaching staff.
