
Rivermen to Battle Beefeater Challenge

On Monday, Nov. 5 at Alexander's Steakhouse, Peoria Rivermen fans will be able to meet some of their favorite players and cheer them on in competition.a competitive eating competition. Fans that come out to root for the four Rivermen players as they face off in the Beefeater Challenge will be able to take advantage of great food and drink discounts at Alexander's.
Four of Peoria's toughest players will go toe-to-toe in the Beefeater Challenge beginning at 6 p.m. Brett Ponich, Chris Bruton, Mark Cundari and Anthony Peluso will battle each other, the clock and their stomach's capacity as they fight for the honor of being the first to finish a 48 oz. (3lb) top sirloin steak, a salad, a baked potato, and a piece of grilled Texas Toast.
Following the Beefeater Challenge fans can enjoy 10 percent off any regularly priced menu item and kids 12 and under can eat for just $2 off the kids menu. Also domestic bottled beers will be available for $2.75 and wine is served for $5 per glass (choice of BV, Pinot Noir, BV Cabernet, BV Red Blend, or Chateau Ste. Michelle, Riesling all night long.
