
Hogs Host Rampage Tonight

Rockford, Ill. - Five games into the season, the Rockford IceHogs have had tremendous goaltending from Carter Hutton, an extraordinary penalty killing unit and have finally found a spark in their offense after a five-goal outburst in their first win of the season on Sunday.
Now, they look to carry their momentum into tonight's game against the visiting San Antonio Rampage at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The puck hits the ice at 7:05 p.m. as a part of WIFR's Sellout Night. The remainder of available tickets will be free courtesy of WIFR and can be obtained by bringing a voucher from WIFR's website to the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office. Additionally, fans get tickets through Ticketmaster, however a small servi ce charge will be added to the order if they are acquired via Ticketmaster.
For fans that are unable to obtain one of the hot-selling tickets, the game can be seen on WIFR's 23.2 "Weather Now", on Comcast channel 436 or online at IceHogs.com with AHL Live. Fans can also listen to the live broadcast on IceHogs.com or through SiriusXM NHL Network Radio AHL game of the night (Sirius 207, XM 92).
The IceHogs and Rampage have yet to meet this season, however last season, the Hogs finished 2-1-0-1 in the head-to-head matchup. The most recent meeting on March 31 ended in a 4-3 shootout loss for the Hogs at the BMO Harris Bank Center. In all four contests, Brandon Pirri led the Hogs' charge with four goals while Jeremy Morin added a goal and two assists.
Heading into tonight's game, each squad finds their special teams units to be evenly matched-up. Both penalty kill units are in the top-five in the AHL and both power play units are in the bottom-10 in the league.
Marcus Kruger (2g-3a) and Martin St. Pierre (1g-4a) lead the IceHogs' in scoring, while Hutton holds a 2.24 goals against average and .929 save percentage in net.
Following tonight's game, District Bar and Grill in downtown Rockford will host a post-game party. IceHogs players and coaches will be on hand to meet with fans and sign autographs. District is located at 205 West State St., just two blocks north of the BMO Harris Bank Center.
Next Home Game: Sunday, Oct. 28 vs. San Antonio Rampage. In a 5:05 p.m. matinee affair, the Hogs return home to take on the Rampage. The first 2,500 fans will pick-up a picture frame magnet schedule courtesy of T6 Broadband. Fans can bring ice skates to the game and join the players out on the BMO Harris Bank Center ice following the game. Also, kids can trick-or-treat after the game in their Halloween costumes as the IceHogs players and coaches will be passing out candy, compliments of Nestle and Applebees.
