Peoria Rivermen News Release

The Peoria Rivermen are proud to announce that players and coaches will once again participate in "Movember", a month-long initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for cancers that affect men. From Nov. 1 through Nov. 30, Rivermen players and coaches will grow mustaches to help support the fight against prostate and testicular cancer.

During each remaining home game in November, the Rivermen will place donation buckets around the concourse at Carver Arena. Fans are encouraged to "vote" for their favorite mustache by dropping money into these containers. All money raised will be donated to Movember, which directly supports the efforts of making men's health a more prevalent topic of conversation. Fans can also donate directly to the Rivermen Movember page at http://us.movember.com/mospace/8514809 .

In addition, the team will post weekly updates of each player and coach's mustache on the Official Rivermen Twitter page (@Peoria_Rivermen ), the Official Rivermen Facebook page, as well as the team's website (www.rivermen.net ). These updates will include photos showcasing the progress of each mustache.

Become a "Mo Bro" of the Rivermen and share your own "Mo" photos on either Twitter or Facebook and help the team contribute to the annual charity event.
