MACON, Ga. - The Mississippi RiverKings (19-9-6) won their fourth-straight game with a 3-1 victory over the Macon Mayhem (13-19-4) on Friday night in Macon.

After a scoreless first period, the teams traded goals in the second. The RiverKings got on the board first when Ryan Marcuz scooped up a rebound and slid it between the legs of Garrett Bartus for his 13th goal of the season just 2:10 into the middle frame. Macon notched the equalizer with three minutes to go in the second when Shawn Skelly's behind-the-back pass found Jake Trask who one-timed the puck over Garrett Sheehan to tie the game at one.

In the third, the RiverKings scored a pair. Bryan Dallaire scored his first goal as a RiverKing when his shot through traffic slipped through to put the RiverKings back on top by one. Then, late in the third, Todd Hosmer took a pass from Charlie Mosey after a Brandon Vossberg shot and he tapped the puck to the back of the net to put the RiverKings up 3-1 with just over four minutes to play in the third as the RiverKings won their fourth straight.

Garrett Sheehan (5-5-4) stopped 27 of 28 shots in the win. Garrett Bartus (13-13-3) turned aside 29 of 32 shots against in the loss.

The RiverKings were held scoreless on three power play opportunities, while Macon did not convert on their lone chance with the man-advantage.

The RiverKings return to Concorde Career College Ice at the Landers Center on Saturday, February 6 for the annual Pink in the Rink. The RiverKings will wear specialty pink jerseys to be auctioned off after the game to benefit the RiverKings ReachOut Fund. The RiverKings will also donate $2 of every ticket purchased by fans wearing pink to WINGS Supportive Care.
