Mississippi RiverKings News Release

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Mississippi RiverKings and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser have announced the acquisition of rookie forward Daniel Tedesco from Pensacola.

Tedesco, 23, begins his professional career in the SPHL after four years at St. Cloud State University where he competed in 98 games for the Huskies winning the NCHC Championship in 2015-16. At the end of 2016-17, Tedesco played two games for the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL.

The Maple, Ontario, native earned a spot on the Ice Flyers roster out of training camp and tallied his first professional goal in his only game with the Ice Flyers, a 4-0 victory over Macon this past Saturday night.

The 6-foot, 205-pound winger comes to Mississippi as the final piece of a trade that began last week. The Ice Flyers received forward Trever Hertz from the RiverKings in exchange for future considerations which Coach Landmesser has redeemed to acquire Tedesco.

After only one game with the Ice Flyers, Tedesco will face off against his former team on Friday Night when the RiverKings travel to Pensacola. Tedesco will make his debut on Planters Bank Ice at Landers Center the following weekend when the RiverKings host the defending champion Macon Mayhem on November 3.
