Atlantic City, NJ -- The Cinderella season for the Cincinnati Cyclones reached its final chapter on Saturday in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

After rallying from a 3-games-to-none deficit to force a decisive Game 7, the Cyclones fell to the Boardwalk Bullies 3-2, sending Atlantic City to the 2003 Kelly Cup Finals for the first time in their existence.

Atlantic City grabbed a 2-1 lead through the first 20 minutes. A power-play goal from J.F. Caudron opened the scoring just 4:19 into the game. The Cyclones answered with a power-play goal of their own from rookie defenseman Steve Rodberg at 6:49.

The Bullies recaptured the advantage on a 70-foot slapshot from Scott Matzka that skipped past Cyclones goaltender Peter Hamerlik at 11:12 of the opening period.

In the second period, the Cyclones tied the game at 2-2 when forward Brent Twordik notched his third goal of the playoffs, his first since Game 1 of the Peoria series, at 18:31 of the frame.

Halfway through the third period, Stefan Rivard scored the game-winning goal at 10:05 of the final period.
