LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks have released relief pitcher Manny Olivares.
Olivares made nine relief appearances for Rockford, and composed a 2-0 record with a 5.73 ERA. He allowed 10 runs, seven earned, on 17 hits in 11 innings.
Olivares, a former New York Mets farmhand, spent six years in affiliated ball. Last year at Class A Savannah and short-season Class A Brooklyn, he was a combined 2-4 with a 3.75 ERA.
The RiverHawks are members of the Northern League, an eight-team independent professional baseball league in its 18th season.
