
Riverhawks lead wire to wire in 108-79 victory over Rockstars

Davenport - The Quad City Riverhawks (13-5) ABA Professional basketball team came out strong after an 8 day layoff. The Riverhawks jumped out to a 12-2 lead as University of Iowa standout Glen Worley led the way with 9 first quarter points. The Riverhawks doubled up Chicago 26-13 after 1 quarter and lead 51-33 at the half.
The Riverhawks came out more energized in the 3rd quarter racking up their biggest lead of the game at 27 points (84-57) at the end of three. The Rockstars had 6 players in doubles figures, but it wasn't enough. Chicago was lead by Phil Taylor and Corey Gupton with 12 each. Ryan Edwards lead the Riverhawks with 19 and Danny Osby contributed 16, 13 of which came in the second half.
The Riverhawks next home game is Thursday, January 11 against the Twin City Ballers and Peoria comes back to the Quad Cities to battle for the traveling trophy in the "War on 74" Friday, January 12 at 7:05pm.
