
RiverHawks add Scripture on Sunday

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks announced Sunday that they have signed catcher Mike Scripture.
Scripture is a true rookie out of Newman (Kans.) University. He led his team in all three Triple Crown categories. Scripture hit .384 with seven home runs and 51 RBI. He threw out 15 of 58 attempted basestealers and committed 15 errors.
To make room on the roster, Rockford released catcher Lucas Hulsey. Hulsey, a rookie, hit .161 with a home run and three RBI.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 16th season.
