RiverDogs Win Again 4-1

RICHMOND, VA - Mike Oliveira scored a goal and an assist along with a very strong team performance in the third period lifted the RiverDogs to their 6th straight win, 4-1 over the Missouri River Otters before a crowd of 2,929 at the Richmond Coliseum. The RiverDogs got on the board first at 14:11, a power play goal from Evgeny Lazarev, who tipped the puck in the net off a great feed from Dennis Mullen. Dave Stewart tied the game up at 1-all in the second on a power play goal at 13:02. The third period was all RiverDogs as Joey Bastien knocked home the game winner on the power play at 6:24. Mike Oliveira got his 26th of the season at 8:04, and with the netminder pulled, Brian Goudie closed the door on the River Otters with an empty net goal shot all the way from the RiverDogs goal line. The RiverDogs outshot the River Otters 30-26. Mike D'Alessandro was named the 1st Star as the rookie continues to shine for the Dogs.

The RiverDogs will take the week off before taking on the Motor City Mechanics on Friday and Saturday, January 27th and 28th, at the Richmond Coliseum with both games scheduled for 7:35 pm. Saturday's game is PACK THE POUND NIGHT. All Upper Bowl tickets are $6.00.
