TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Is the ‘'Dogs only pre-season game of 2004. The River Otters are playing the second of three pre-season games all on the road. The two clubs did not meet last season and will not face each other in the regular season this year.

LAST ACTION: The River Otters lost 5-2 at Ft. Wayne Wednesday. Bob Rapoza and Matt Snesrud scored for Missouri.

'DOG BITES: The ‘Dogs training camp roster now stands at 19 players on hand (12 forwards, five defensemen, and two goalies). Mark Langdon has been released by Rochester of the AHL but has not yet reported. Pascal Morency, who's UHL rights belong to the ‘Dogs, is in camp with Wilkes-Barre of the AHL. Rookie Frank Burgio joined the club Thursday. Six ‘Dogs are back from last season: David Brosseau, Francis Belanger, J.J. Wrobel, J.F. Picard, Brian Goudie, and Luch Nasato. The ‘Dogs have the UHL limit seven veterans on the roster (Brian Goudie, Trevor Senn, Mark Turner, Jamie Yoder, Luch Nasato, David Hymovitz, and David Brosseau). There are six rookies in camp (Andrew Sharp, Justin Quenneville, Chad Wilson, Sean Keane, Frank Burgio, and Ryan McIntosh). The ‘Dogs open the regular season with three straight home games, then play six of seven on the road.

RIVER OTTERS NOTES: Missouri has 25 players listed on their pre-season roster. The River Otters were 17-51-8 last season. Kevin Kaminski is the new head coach in Missouri. The Otters roster includes former Richmond center Lars Pettersen. The River Otters have five players back from last season.

NEXT UP: The RiverDogs return to Richmond to conclude training camp. The ‘Dogs open at home next weekend vs. Port Huron Friday and Saturday at the Coliseum. Game time is 7:35 both nights. The Otters conclude a busy pre-season schedule at Quad City Monday. The Otters open the regular season on the road next Friday vs. the expansion Kansas City Outlaws.

AROUND THE UHL: Last night Ft. Wayne drilled Kalamazoo 5-1 and Adirondack beat Elmira 3-1. Tonight around the UHL there are four other pre-season games: Motor City visits Muskegon, Rockford is at Quad City, Flint entertains Port Huron, and Kalamazoo hosts Ft. Wayne.
