TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The 14th of 17 meetings and the sixth of eight in Richmond. ‘Dogs are 6-5-2 vs. the Frostbite, 2-2-1 at home. Mark Turner has 16 points vs. Adirondack. Justin Kelly has 16 vs. the ‘Dogs. Adirondack is tied for the best record in the UHL with Muskegon. The Frostbite leads the East by four points over Danbury. The ‘Dogs are third in the East and two points back of Flint in the wild card race. Three of the UHL's top five scorers are in tonight's line-up.

LAST ACTION: The ‘Dogs lost 5-0 at Quad City Sunday. The ‘Dogs out-shot the Mallards 15-2 in the second period but Robert Gerhson earned his first pro shutout. Adirondack lost 4-2 at Danbury Wednesday despite out-shooting the Trashers 38-24. Greg Koehler had two assists. The two clubs combined for 126 PIM.

'DOG BITES: Richmond acquired defenseman Ivan Curic from Port Huron in exchange for Kyle Sheen. The ‘Dogs activated Derek Schutz from IR. Semir Ben-Amor has been placed on the 7-Day IR. Mark Turner and Trevor Senn remain on IR. The ‘Dogs are winless in their last four games but have a three game home winning streak. The ‘Dogs are 1 for their last 18 on the power play after a 16 for 39 (41%) run over eight games. The ‘Dogs are home for three straight games vs. first place clubs. They then face an 11 game road trip. Brent Belecki has played in four straight games in goal. The ‘Dogs held Quad City to a season low two shots on goal in the second period Sunday. Richmond has scored one goal in their last two games after scoring 35 in seven games. The ‘Dogs have scored six or more in three straight homes games and four of their last five at the Coliseum.. The ‘Dogs have 20 goals in their last three home games.

FROSTBITE NOTES: The Frostbite has three of the UHL's top 14 scorers. Hugo Belanger leads the league in points and assists. Greg Koehler is fifth in scoring. Sylvain Cloutier is 14th in points. This is the fourth of a five game road trip for the Frostbite. They are 3-1 on the trip. Adirondack has won 10 of their last 13 games. The Frostbite is the least penalized team in the UHL. Adirondack is third in the league in shots against (27.9). They are tied for the league lead in scoring (3.42).

NEXT UP: The ‘Dogs and Adirondack face off again tomorrow night at 7:35. There will also be a benefit game for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at 3:20. All fans receive a RiverDogs action poster and there will be a post-game skate.
