RiverDogs acquire Senn in expansion draft

Richmond, VA – The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League acquired the rights to veteran RW Trevor Senn and G Ryan McIntosh in the recent UHL expansion draft. The ‘Dogs traded the rights to goalie Maxime Gingras to the expansion Kansas City club for two expansion draft picks.

The ‘Dogs used those picks to take Senn from Adirondack and McIntosh from Elmira. Senn had 204 PIM in 23 games last season. He had 42 points and 466 PIM in 2002-'03 with Adirondack. He spent five of his previous 13 pro seasons playing in Richmond. Senn spent time in the IHL with Houston and played in the AHL with Baltimore.

McIntosh had a 3.22 goals against average and save percentage of .898 in 27 games with Elmira last season. Under UHL rules he still has rookie status. He was a three year starter in net for Augsburg College.

The ‘Dogs lost the rights to defenseman John Murphy to Danbury; RW Dave Shields to Motor City; and C Olivier Filion to Kansas City. The ‘Dogs had more players selected in the draft than any other UHL club.
