Rivera Named Sons of Hockey Star of the Week

Syracuse, NY - The Federal Hockey League announced today that Port Huron Prowlers forward Mark Rivera has been selected as the Sons of Hockey Star of the Week for the period ending Dec. 13, 2015.

Rivera tallied seven goals three weekend games, helping the Prowlers gain all three wins on the weekend.

Rivera started his scoring on Friday when he recorded one goal in a 5-3 win over Berlin at McMorran Arena in Port Huron. Mark would then go on to record back to back hat tricks in an 8-1 win over Berlin on Saturday night and a 6-3 win over Brewster on Sunday.

A 25-year-old native of Belmar, New Jersey, Mark in only eight games played has recorded seven goals and two assists for nine points and a plus six rating.

Rivera is the third Port Huron Prowlers player to be named Sons of Hockey Star of the Week after Jared Hicks (Nov. 13-15) and Ahmed Mahfouz (Dec 4-6).
