Missouri River Otters News Release
St. Charles, MO --- The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League are proud to announce that they have signed forward Quinten Van Horlick for the upcoming hockey season.
Van Horlick, 29, has more than 200 professional games on his resume, including two stints with the UHL's Rockford Icehogs. In 58 games with that team, he piled up 182 penalty minutes and was a strong physical presence. "Quinten is a great character guy," River Otters head coach Kevin Kaminski said. "He will do whatever it takes to make this hockey team better."
Despite his 5'10'', 175 pound stature, Van Horlick doesn't back down from anyone. In his 239 games as a professional he racked up 850 penalty minutes. In addition to the UHL, he's spent time in the East Coast Hockey League, the Central Hockey League, the Western Professional Hockey League, and the Atlantic Coast Hockey League.
The River Otters start their Colonial Cup quest Friday, October 15 at Kansas City, and the home opener is Saturday, October 23 against Quad City.
