River City Crushes RiverHawks

Rockford RiverHawks News Release


O'FALLON, Mo. - The River City Rascals scored early and often as they cruised to a 11-0 victory over the Rockford RiverHawks.

Copper Vittitow scored in the bottom of the first inning on an erroneous pick off attempt by RiverHawks pitcher Joe Barbosa.

Mike Madrid hit two home runs in the game. Madrid hit a solo shot in the third inning and a two-run homer in the sixth inning. Mikela Olsen also hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning.

With the game already out of reach, Vittitow hit a monster solo home run to lead off the seventh inning.

Greg Modica (9-3) got the win for River City. Barbosa (0-2) took the loss for the RiverHawks.
