River Catz to hold tryout camp

Little Rock, AR. The ABA Little Rock River Catz announced that the tryout camp scheduled for August 10th at Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City and August 17th at the Champions in Tulsa, Oklahoma (announced Friday for the Arkansas Aeros) will also be for positions on the River Catz. According to Keith Newton, River Catz spokesperson, "These tryout camps will offer double the opportunities as they are for both of our teams - and our head coaches, assistant coaches and scouts will be looking for a lot of guys with great talent. Pick either one - and this is a great chance to get into professional basketball with a great organization."

The registration fee is $100 in advance, $125 at the door with all fees being paid by money order or cashier's check at the door). Make checks payable to Wild Horse Entertainment and mail to 113 22nd Street, Bentonville, AR 72712. All applicants must be 18 years old by July 21, 2006 to be eligible. All tryout campers should bring basketball gear, towels, toiletries, etc. Locker room facilities and an athletic trainer will be available. All campers will receive an official tryout camp jersey. Newton added, "The fans of Little Rock have high expectations; the last ABA team in Little Rock won the Championship - and it's our goal to repeat."
