
Riptide vs. Machine - take two

After a defeat last weekend in Los Angeles, the Machine will have a second chance to show its strength against the Riptide this Saturday in Chicago. Face-off is set for 7:00pm at the Sports Complex at Benedictine University.
After sitting out last weekend's game due to an injury, Machine defenseman Todd Rassas will suit up for this Saturday's game against the Riptide. Dan Flannery will also join the Machine on the field this weekend in his first Major League Lacrosse game of his career after being drafted by Chicago in the 2006 Collegiate Draft. During his collegiate career at Duke University, Flannery was a solid attackman and totaled 149 points with 79 goals and 70 assists.
Last weekend, the LA Riptide brought in their first win of the season with Kevin Dougherty claiming the Bud Light MVP honor after scoring five goals against the Machine. Top scorer for the Machine last Saturday was Stephen Brundage who scored three goals against the Riptide. Kevin Leveille remains the top scorer overall for the Machine after scoring two goals in the last game to clock in eleven goals for the 2006 season.
This Saturday's game will be a LIVE broadcast on ComcastSportsnet in the Chicagoland area.
