
Riptide Tackle Hunger

SAN DIEGO â The San Diego Riptide will be holding a food drive on July 24th in association with the San Diego Food Bank at the San Diego Sports Arena prior to the home game against the Bakersfield Blitz at 7:00pm. With a donation of a non-perishable food item, fans will receive a ticket voucher for $3 off of the terrace level seats.
Fans can receive a $3 ticket voucher by stopping by the arena box office on July 22nd and 23rd with the donation. The donations will be collected in food barrels through July 24th. During the night of the game, the food bank truck will be on hand to accept the donations and staff will be able to give fans more information on how they can help out the San Diego Food Bank. In honor of this event, the first 3,000 fans will also receive a free "Riptide Tackle Hunger" T-Shirt.
The San Diego Food Bank, a non-profit organization, is the largest hunger-relief charity in the San Diego County. Their mission is to serve as an advocate for the hungry and to educate the public about issues relation to hunger. They help to provide solutions to the problems of hunger with hopes of distributing enough food to ensure that no one goes to bed hungry.
