Riptide Player Tryouts This Saturday

This Saturday, November 16 at Scripps Ranch High School, the San Diego Riptide arenafootball2 team will be holding their first 2003 open-player tryout.
WHAT: 2003 Ripitde Open-Player Tryouts
WHEN: Saturday, November 16, 2002. Registration at 7:30am. Tryout starts promptly at 9:00am.
WHERE: Scripps Ranch High School - located at 10410 Treena St., San Diego 92131.
COST: $50 day of tryout. Check, cash or money order only.
Most of the 2002 Riptide roster, including First Team All-af2 WR/LB Rico Curtis were "discovered" in the Riptide Open Player Tryout Camp. In 2002, 27 players either came to training camp or eventually played for the Riptide came from open tryouts.
Head Coach Cree Morris believes the tryout camp is a valuable tool for the Riptide. "You never know where you are going to find players," Morris says. "That's why we do the tryout camp."
To get to Scripps Ranch High School... take I-15 to Mira Mesa Blvd., east; right at Scripps Ranch Blvd., right at Scripps Lake Dr.; left at Treena.
