
Rion Paige to Perform at Saturday's Sharks Game

JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks announced Wednesday that "The at halftime of the Sharks' game against the Portland Thunder this Saturday, April 26. She will sing the National Anthem prior to kickoff, and will return to the field to perform a brief set during halftime.
"We are thrilled that Rion will be performing in the Shark Tank on Saturday," Sharks Managing Partner Jeff Bouchy said. "The Sharks are proud to share her wonderful talent and inspirational story with our great fans."
A Jacksonville native currently in the eighth grade, Rion began singing at the young age of three. During the 2013 season of "The X-Factor," she received four "yes" votes to advance to the Hollywood rounds, eventually reaching the semifinals of the show.
Born with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, a rare disorder that causes a curving of the joints, Rion lets nothing get in the way of her dreams and refuses to allow daily challenges define who she is. Her endearing and emotional style captures her distinctly positive personality.
Rion is now performing her "Country with an edge" style of music at venues throughout the United States, and is pursuing songwriting opportunities and working on recording her own music. For more information, please visit rionpaige.com.
