Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI - Carlos Rincon's 10th-inning, two-run homer gave the Tulsa Drillers a 6-4 win over the Hooks Saturday night at Whataburger Field.
Stephen Wrenn carried the game to extras with a pair of game tying homers. The first tied the game at deuces in the sixth, while an eighth-inning two-run shot (8) tied it at 4-4.
Tulsa struck first with back-to-back doubles by Thomas and Wong in the second inning off Brett Conine.
Jake Adams tied the score in the fourth against Leo Crawford with a 435-foot blast (7), his second mammoth clout this week. Wong responded with a solo shot of his own in the sixth.
In the seventh inning in a 2-2 game, reliever Andre Scrubb loaded the bases on two singles and walk. He then walked Cody Thomas and Connor Wong consecutively, giving Tulsa the 4-2 lead until Wrenn tied it again.
