RimRockers top Pelicans again

Arkansas RimRockers News Release
Little Rock, AR. For the third straight time, the Arkansas RimRockers defeated the Louisiana Cajun Pelicans 93-84 in a hard fought game in Baton Rouge. Todd Day, an ABA All Star, led the team with 34 points, one less than his season high, and Kareem Reid, another All Star, had 18 points. The game marked the lowest scoring game in RimRocker history. The score was 40-38 at halftime over the steadily improving Cajun Pelicans. The RimRockers came back after the break and attacked the basket, securing the majority of the rebounds from missed Cajun Pelican shots and converting 3-point baskets.
Other RimRockers to score in double figures were Shawnson Johnson (16) and Brian Jackson, the third RimRocker All Star (10). The RimRockers return home to Alltel Arena on Thursday to take on the undefeated Utah Snowbears in inter-divisional play as part of a two-game series. According to Joe Harge, RimRocker coach, "We think this will be a preview of the ABA Semis or Finals - and we're out to stop Utah's winning streak. These two games should be something special." Ike Austin, the Snowbears coach added, "Two great teams - and our goal is to go into their home and bring back two victories."
