February 8, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release

Orange County, CA - The Orange County Buzz of the American Basketball Association, proudly announce today they will be playing a home game at the Camp Pendleton Marine Base Paige Fieldhouse February 25th 2005. Assistant Buzz General Manager Kevin A. Lau stated "In honor of the brave men and women that have put their lives on the line for us, we felt that giving an entertaining show to our troops and their family was one way we can give something back for their bravery."

The festivities will begin at 5pm as the Camp Pendleton Devil Dawgs take on Hoopology (a team/program ran and coached in the summer by OC Buzz Head Coach Burrel Lee). Following that game around 7:30pm, the Orange County Buzz will take on their visitor (TBA) in an exciting ABA action in front of the brave men and women of our military and their families. "Playing this game will be great and we also get to introduce the ABA to the military. I think that is big in itself. Also the game played between the Devil Dawgs and Hoopology will be played with ABA rules, that I believe will be very exciting for the soldiers and coaches on the Devil Dawgs team," stated Buzz Head Coach/General Manager Burrel Lee III.

Lee III added, "This opportunity proves how viable the Orange County Buzz is to the community. We hope this will continue to build the relationship with our fan base in Orange County." "These men and women risk it all everyday of the year and we are honored to be able to play this game in front of and for them," stated Buzz Guard Jon Crispin.

Buzz players, coaches and dance team will be on hand to sign autographs, take pictures and mingle with the troops and families after the game.
