ABA Tampa Bay team creates One Earth Foundation

Tampa Bay, FL. Tracy Carr, an Atlanta-based attorney and owner of the 2005 Tampa Bay team in the American Basketball Association and Executive Director of the One Earth Foundation, Inc., has created a "Living for a Cure" Reach One, Teach One Awareness Wristband Program, a public health grassroots innovative program to lead an effort to address the issue faced by growing numbers in the US with the HIV virus. Ms. Carr's plan is part of a national action plan to focus on "Living for a Cure." Advancing public health strategies that charts a course for the public health communities to more effectively and comprehensively address HIV/AIDS with the goal of improving education. Ms. Carr stated, "If people have the right information and the ability to act on it across the world schools, organizations and companies who will volunteer their talent, ambitions and hope in order to educate our communities and start the tide against this devastating disease."

She added, "My organizaton, One Earth Foundation, would like to partner with local high schools, organizations and companies via a "Living for a Cure" Reach One, Touch One Red Awareness Wristband Program. (Everytime someone wears a Living for a Cure wristband, he or she has just reached one and touched one about the HIV virus). Not only is it a great fundraiser for the organization, but it makes that group a part of a nationwide effort to educate about the HIV virus. The ABA is totally committed to its teams becoming involved with important causes that help our communities. We've chosen this one as our primary focus."
