
'Riders Lose Third Straight

Missions first baseman Matt Clark collected eight RBI on Thursday night as San Antonio beat Frisco, 10-9, sending the 'Riders to its third straight loss.
Clark hit a grand slam in the top of the first inning as San Antonio jumped out to a 6-0 lead. He added a two-run shot in the top of the second inning, giving the Missions an 8-1 advantage on the scoreboard. Clark went 3-4 on the night.
Richard Bleier (3-5, 5.79) took the loss for Frisco as he lasted only 0.2 innings, giving up six runs on three hits. Two out of three hits were home runs.
Simon Castro (4-2, 2.48) went five innings for San Antonio, picking up his fourth win of the season. He allowed two runs (1 ER) on two hits.
Trailing 10-9 with the tying run on third base in the bottom of the ninth, Matt Lawson flied to center to end the game.
The 'Riders (33-24) will try to snap a three-game skid on Friday night as the club resumes its series with San Antonio (30-28). Ryan Tatukso (4-0, 2.84) will take the mound for Frisco, with first pitch scheduled for 7 PM.
Notes: Matt Lawson hit his fourth home run of the season in the seventh inning.
