Tuesday, Oct. 20

BNG 5 vs STJ 4 (OT)

Despite a two-goal lead in the third period, the IceCaps couldn't secure a victory as the Binghamton Senators came back to win in overtime Tuesday night at Mile One Centre. Captain Gabriel Dumont scored twice for the St. John's club.

Wednesday, Oct. 21

STJ 3 vs BNG 2

In just his second pro start, rookie netminder Zach Fucale made 40 big stops to propel the IceCaps over the Binghamton Senators at Mile One Centre. Mac Bennett's first period goal was the game-winner while Daniel Carr and Darren Dietz also notched goals.

Saturday, Oct. 24

STJ 5 vs BRI 4

The St. John's IceCaps scored three times in the opening period and added a pair in the second for a win over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at Mile One Centre. Darren Dietz and Mark Barberio picked up two assists each.

Sunday, Oct. 25

BRI 3 vs STJ 2 (SO)

Michael McCarron tied the score at two with just 1.1 seconds left in regulation but the IceCaps fell to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in a nine-round shootout at Mile One Centre.

3 THINGS TO KNOW

Home Sweet Home: The IceCaps collected 10 of a possible 12 points in their season-opening home stand. The strong start has the IceCaps tied for the most points in the Eastern Conference (12).

Saturday Night Special: In the IceCaps 5-4 win Saturday night, 19-year-old Nikita Scherbak became the latest IceCap to score his first pro goal. Scherbak was a first-round draft pick for the Montreal Canadiens in 2014.

Bud's a Stud: Centreman Bud Holloway's 10 points in eight games has him fourth in league scoring with four goals and six assists. Holloway is an assistant captain for the St. John's club.
