Syracuse Mets News Release
The Syracuse Chiefs are thrilled to announce additions to the 2016 Hot Stove Dinner and Silent Auction, to be held Friday, January 22nd at the OnCenter Convention Center in downtown Syracuse. Chiefs infielder Ricky Hague and his wife, country singer Lindsay James, will join the previously-announced guest list for the event.
"We had such a pleasure getting to know Ricky and Lindsay last season", said Chiefs general manager Jason Smorol. "They truly bought in to what we're doing here in Syracuse and made themselves a big part of the community. We can't wait to share this special night with them!"
Hague was one of the Chiefs' most fan-friendly players in 2015. He worked extensively with local children off the field, even receiving a ceremonial American flag from the Baldwinsville Swarm Baseball League for his efforts with the team. Hague, a third-round pick of the Nationals from Rice in 2010, played in 58 games last season with Syracuse.
His wife, James, is a burgeoning country singer who performed this past year at the New York State Fair. Her debut single, "Nothing Even Matters", was released last summer. James is scheduled to play an acoustic set at the OnCenter from approximately 6:10 to 6:45 p.m. The couple joins the previously-announced guest list of Pete Rose, Jason Grilli, Billy Gardner, Jr., Doug Harris and Mark Scialabba.
While Rose will only be signing at the previously announced VIP session, drilli and Ricky Hague will sign in the Convention Center from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Grilli will also have copies of his book, "Just My Game", available at the Hot Stove Dinner. In addition, Grilli will appear the day after the Hot Stove, Saturday, January 23rd, at Barnes and Noble on Route 31 in Clay for a book signing from 1 to 3 p.m.
The 2016 Hot Stove Dinner is made possible by the event's corporate sponsors. The list of sponsors includes McNeil and Company, Sedgwick Capital Corp., BlueRock Energy, NBT Bank, United Healthcare and Brophy Cleaning Services.
"The continued success of this event is not possible without our great corporate sponsors", said Smorol. "They support us even during the coldest and most baseball-free months of the season and deserve our greatest thanks!"
Tickets to the 2016 Hot Stove Dinner are still available for the price of $65 per adult and $30 per child (12 and under). Admission to the event and a full dinner are included in the cost. Groups can purchase discounted-rate tickets for a table of eight ($495) or a table of 10 ($625).
In addition, only three VIP tickets remain for an Autograph and Meet & Greet Session with Pete Rose for $200 apiece. Please note that the VIP ticket price is separate from admission to the Hot Stove.
Tickets can be purchased at the Chiefs' ticket office. To buy, fans can call the office at 315-474-7833, visit syracusechiefs.com or stop by the NBT Bank Stadium ticket window during regular business hours.
