
Richardson and Smith selected to participate in the D-League All-Star Weekend

Fort Wayne Mad Ants' forward Jeremy Richardson was selected by D-League fans and coaches to participate in the 2008 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Spalding on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 3:00 pm EST on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas. Mad Ants forward Eric Smith has been chosen to participate in the inaugural D-League Slam Dunk Competition during D-League Dream Factory Friday Night.
Richardson and Smith will both participate in the D-League Dream Factory Friday Night on Friday, Feb. 17, as Richardson is set to compete in the first NBA sponsored game of H.O.R.S.E in 30 years and Smith will be competing in the first D-league Slam Dunk Competition. Dream Factory Friday Night, new to the roster of All-Star events, tips off on Friday, Feb. 15, at 9:00 pm EST.
Two-time Gatorade Call-Up Richardson rejoined the Mad Ants on February 2nd after his second 10 day contract with the San Antonio Spurs expired. Richardson was first called up by the Memphis Grizzlies on Dec. 20 and then by the San Antonio Spurs on Jan. 10. Richardson is averaging a league-high 27.3 points to go with 6.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 40.8 minutes in ten games for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
Smith has been entertaining Mad Ants fans all season long with his exciting high flying dunks and will have the opportunity to show off his skills in front of thousands of fans on Friday night.
