Carolina Rhinos News Release

GREENVILLE, SC – The League office of arenafootball2 and the Carolina Rhinos have announced several changes to the team's roster. Wide receiver / linebacker Corey Sullivan has been assigned to the team. Sullivan is a second-year professional from Tennessee State who has Arena Football League experience with the Nashville Kats and the Georgia Force. Defensive specialist Domarco Fox has been activated off the injured reserve. Wide receiver / linebacker Cliff Shavers, offensive specialist Nick Johnson and offensive / defensive lineman B.J. Pate have been placed on the inactive list. Wide receiver / defensive back Jami Oates has been placed on the suspended list. Wide receiver / linebacker Jermaine Derricott has been transferred from the short-term I.R. to the long-term I.R.

The Rhinos will visit the first-year Louisville Fire tomorrow, May the 31st, at 7:30 p.m. The game, the first-ever between the teams, will be broadcast live on 1070 "The Sportszone" WCSZ-AM and at rhinosfootball.com beginning at 7:15 p.m. 1070 "The Sportszone" also broadcasts "Rhino Talk" featuring head coach Rod Miller every Monday from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. The show originates live from Wild Wing Café on West Washington Street in downtown Greenville.

The Rhinos head into this week's game tied with the Columbus Wardogs for third place, as well as three and a half games behind the second-place Macon Knights in the Eastern Division with a 2-5 record including 1-3 on the road. The Rhinos have lost two straight games, 56-32 at home to the League-leading Augusta Stallions May 18th and 39-34 on the road to the Norfolk Nighthawks last Saturday. However, a win this week would be their second in three games away from home; the Rhinos last victory was a 56-48 road win over the Greensboro Prowlers on May 12th.

Louisville is still searching for the first win in franchise history. The 0-7 Fire are in last place in the Midwest Division and are only a half game ahead of the last-place Mobile Wizards the overall af2 standings. Louisville has lost all three home games it has played and enters this week's contest on the heels of a 72-20 road loss to the Peoria Pirates last Saturday.

Friday's game will be the second straight away from home for the Rhinos, as well as the second of a stretch in which they will play four out of six games on the road. The Rhinos will return home to host the Roanoke Steam next Friday, June the 7th, and then the first-year Cape Fear Wildcats Saturday June 15th before heading back on the road to visit Roanoke June 22nd and Columbus June 29th.

Friday June 7th will be "Scout Night" and there will be a postgame concert featuring Avalon. The first one-thousand scouts who purchase tickets for the June 7th game will receive special Rhinos-Scout patches, and groups of scouts can purchase tickets at a special rate by calling 864-250-4929.
