Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release
Wilkes-Barre, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers announced today that several new features have been incorporated into the team's pre-game Fanfest, which takes place 2 hours prior to the start of every home game. Among the added attractions will be performances by several area bands, character artists, face painting, jugglers, and expanded food and drink selections and seating areas.
"Now that the weather has improved, we have an opportunity to promote the entertainment and attractions we could not use earlier in the year," said Pioneers General Manager Rick Sneed. "Our desire is to make Fanfest a special experience for the entire family."
Musical groups scheduled to appear for the next two home games are Hoosier Daddy? on June 1st and The Jeffery James Experience on June 15th, presented by Marvelous Muggs.
In addition to live bands and other attractions, all July Fanfests will also feature a dunk tank.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers next home game will be this Saturday, June 1 against the Rochester Brigade. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm.
