Rochester Rhinos News Release
Rochester, N.Y.- The Rochester Rhinos will be facing Orlando City B at home on Sunday, July 10. This match up will be a redemption match for the Rhinos to gain victory against Orlando after losing to them 2-1 at the Titan Soccer Complex back in May.
The Rhinos defeated FC Cincinnati, 2-1, at home this past Wednesday night in a hard fought battle on the field. The Rhinos are looking to restart their undefeated streak home, they are currently 2-0 with the wins against FC Cincinnati and Pittsburgh Riverhounds over the past two weeks. The team is consistently playing strong and appears to have regained some of their early season momentum.
The match will be streamed on the USL Match Center.
This will be a crucial game for the Rhinos as Rochester and Orlando are neck and neck in the Eastern Conference standing. After earning three points at home this past week against Cincinnati, the Rhinos motivation is at an all-time high to gain another 3 points against Orlando. Like last time they faced each other, the Rhinos are coming off a Wednesday night match, while Orlando is rested and ready.
The Rhinos stand 7-4-4 while Orlando is 6-6-4 on the season. Orlando tied this past week, Saturday July 2, against Charlotte Independence, 1-1, and saw a win the week before against FC Montreal, 3-1.

Previously when Orlando and the Rhinos faced each other, the teams saw a total of 13 shots and seven shots on goal between the two. Orlando saw two goals from Hadji Barry, who is the teams second leading goal scorer who has 16 shots so far this season. Steevan Dos Santos had success in the game with a goal himself, but the Rhinos couldn't find the equalizer.
The Rhinos offense has been developing the last few games. Their leading goal scorers Christian Volesky (5) and Joe Farrell (4) remain at the top, however captain Mike Garzi and Steevan Dos Santos have contributed to the scoreboard in recent games, spreading out the Rhinos attack. Dos Santos leads the Rhinos offense in shots, and will be looking to find the back of the net for his second consecutive game.
The Sunday match is also the teams Bark at the Park where fans can bring their dogs to enjoy the game with them and cheer on the Rochester Rhinos.
