
Rhinos Look To Continue Winning Streak Against Portland

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Rhinos (10-8-8, 37 pts)will bring their three-game winning streak home on Saturday, September 1 when they kick-off against the Portland Timbers (6-9-10, 28 pts) at PAETEC Park.
The Rhinos will host a Timbers squad that is 1-4-4 in their last nine starts. Rochester has faced Portland twice already this season, going 1-0-1 in those two starts, including a 2-1 win at home back on June 1.
Timbers forward Chris Brown leads the club with 13 points (6+1=13) while goalkeeper Ray Burse leads Portland with five wins and a 0.63 goals against average despite not having played a match since June. Former Rhino Chase Harrison made his first start for Portland on August 22, a match that resulted in a 2-1 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps. For Harrison, it was his first start since being acquired in the trade that brought midfielder Andrew Gregor to Rochester in July.
Rochester enters the match winners of their last three and in a third place tie with the Charleston Battery with 37 points each. For Rochester, Johnny Menyongar continues to lead in scoring with 16 points while Luke Kreamalmeyer's eight assists are second best in the First Division and just one off Martin Nash's single season franchise record of nine set in 2000.

MARCINA TO SEE ACTION
Newly acquired striker Alen Marcina will see his first game action as a Rhino when Rochester kicks off against RDSL Select in a reserve match on Tuesday at PAETEC Park. Marcina was transferred from Minnesota last week where he had tallied three goals and two assists in 2008 for the Thunder. The match is free and open to the public. Kick-off is slated for 6:30 p.m.
