
Rhinos Legends 5th Round Picks Announced

Rochester, NY - The Rochester Rhinos 2015 season marks the 20th anniversary of Rhinos soccer in Rochester. A highlight of this season will be the Rhinos Legends game on Saturday, June 27th prior to our Hall of Fame Night festivities and the Rhinos home game against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. We are pleased to announce the next two picks joining us for this momentous occasion. Joining "Team Demmin" is midfielder Nate Daligcon and joining "Team Andracki" is midfielder Tommy Tanner.
Nate Daligcon, a native of Seattle, Washington, was a member of the Rhinos from 1997-2001 and appeared in 106 matches in all competitions. Prior to joining the Rhinos, Daligcon played with the Seattle Sounders of the A-League earning an A-League Championship in 1996. Daligcon was traded to the Rhinos in 1997 and was a member of the team that won three league championships (1998, 2000 & 2001) and the 1999 US Open Cup. Nate helped secure the middle of the pitch and scored 16 goals and assisted on 9 others during his time with the Rhinos. He returned to the Sounders in 2002 to finish off his playing career in his home city.
Since retiring from soccer Daligcon has been coaching at many different levels and clubs. In 2009, he was named the assistant coach at Seattle Pacific and in 2013 he became the assistant coach at Seattle University.
Tommy Tanner was born and raised in Syracuse and graduated from Henninger High School. He went to North Carolina State and upon graduating played for the Cleveland Crunch, of the Major Indoor Soccer League, and was named the 1992 MISL Rookie of the Year. The Crunch eventually moved to the National Professional Soccer League and he helped lead the team to championships in 1994, 1996, 1999. Tanner joined the Rhinos in 1996 and played with the club until 2002. He was captain of the team from 1998-2001 and was a pivotal member of on the teams that won three league titles and the 1999 US Open Cup. Tommy was inducted into the Rhinos Hall of Fame in 2014.
Since his time with the Rhinos, Tommy Tanner has been a player and an assistant coach for the Syracuse Salty Dogs, founded and coached the Syracuse Youth Football Club, and in 2011 Tommy became the head coach and owner of the Syracuse Silver Knights. Outside of soccer, Tommy has opened a bar/restaurant in Syracuse called, "Woody's Jerkwater Pub & Grub."
"My most memorable moment with the Rhinos was our first game at Frontier Field in front of all of our fans. It was an amazing game and was the start of a great seven year run of championships," Tanner said.
