LA Galaxy II News Release
CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, April 2, 2015) - LA Galaxy II (0-2-1) fell to Arizona United SC (2-0-0) Thursday night at StubHub Center's Track & Field Stadium as a last-second goal from Arizona gave the visitors all three points. LA Galaxy Homegrown Player Bradford Jamieson IV tallied a first-half goal for Los Dos, assisted by Raul Mendiola.
Galaxy II opened up the scoring in the 18th minute on a beautiful goal from Jamieson IV, his first of the season. Fellow Galaxy Homegrown Player Raul Mendiola played a ball over top of the defense to put Jamieson IV in on goal. With a perfect first touch, the forward set himself up to place the ball in the far side of the net to give Los Dos the lead.
Just after halftime, Arizona United SC leveled the score in the 52nd minute after Dennis Chin tapped in a corner kick in front of net.
Galaxy II outshot Arizona United 14-9 on the night but were unable to find a second goal despite strong second-half chances.
Deep into stoppage time, Arizona United SC found the game-winner on a goal from Long Tan, assisted by Dennis Chin. Chin found space on the left side before laying a pass to Tan, who fired a shot from the top of the 18 to give the visitors all three points.
